Nobody had ever carried out any feasibility studies to work out if parachutes would save lives before they were put to practical use. Pure science is NO science at all if one chooses to ignore common sense, in Axiom’s case, studies done by a company as reputable as Inco. I wouldn’t want to be in the control group for that parachute study, not sure about you - you sound too academic for me. I have to pay for my theoretical physicist and his partner’s drinks and meals every time I catch up with them. They try to come up with some fancy mathematical formulae to explain the origins of universe or multi-verses and everything within it or them. I do respect them, don’t get me wrong - they’re very sophisticated, but exceptionally simple, if you know what I mean. But I can say, I make far more money than they could ever do, simply by being practical and flexible.
