Provided you want to put the equivalent of $36k into a bank account in Thailand or show income the equivalent of $3k a month going into a Thai Bank account ( Due To Recent Changes to eligibility to reside) it should be ok. You probably know you can't own a house in Thailand or Philippines, it has to be in a Thai Partners name, so consider the money spent as a gift. I am not sure about Malaysia as have not had personal experience with their system.
Spend some of that money you are paying for the employment of 2 people to get some good advice, there is more than one way to skin a cat.
