My calcs were based on actuals plus NST predictions, not maybe's and certainly not any beyond those given by management That is when we enter the realm of speculation and faith. I prefer to look at the facts as they stand along with a sprinkling of faith or I would not be in the market.
I really do not recommend buying into a company on the basis that they "might" buy a 300 Koz mine in the future at some undefined AISC NCM bought into Lihir (potential 1Moz p.a.) and has suffered ever since (one of my best deals yet was to participate in the buy-out of LHG by NCM).
Pogo is not proving to be high value and so NST does not look good because of that. Will NST unlock some high value resources? Do BB, ST, AT, VR and AS have X-ray eyes like Superman to see into the ground before they bought and so knew of high value resources at low AISC? More proof is needed, methinks. We have not seen any evidence of this yet.
Faith and spin becomes BS but investment into facts will bear fruit in time.
