To be fair, the management tried to demerge or restructure the company a year or two ago to reduce administration costs and channel the cashflow to dividends paid to shareholders. The motion was killed, I think, by the ASX and the regulators.
If that had gone through, administration costs would have gone down by more than 80% and dividends would have amounted to something like 30% yields.
Instead, we are stuck in this morass. Admin costs eating up the revenues.
I suppose it would be possible to start a shareholder action to remove the current directors and replace with directors whose hellbent purpose would be to cut admin costs to the bone and achieve the same purpose.
Would anyone like to start that?
