The Imaging Division sufferred during its ownership by Mayne, and basically Mayne and its CEO Peter Smedley had no plan. When taken over by Primary, James Bateman was the General Manager, and Dean, only an operations manager for the state of Victoria. After the death of Ed Bateman, Dean has been appointed CEO and has been for only 3 years. Imaging has bolstered its management with the appointment of a COO from Integral Diagnostics, one of the two founding partners, Greg Hughes who is an excellent operator who took with John Livingstone a small country practice and floated it into the 4th Largest imaging company in Australia.
