Hopper, there are many posts on tls's future sp including mine.From tech to fundamentals .Sometimes a combination,bottom line u have to make the decision.

My 2 cents .

-first keeping it simple you must hold  the shares when you buy those shares for 45 days and you will get the div,doesn't matter when you buy them as long as ex div date falls within 45 day period. 

Taking into account  if you add to the first parcel within the 45 days the ato will regard you as holding 2 parcel of shares,both must have ex div falling within the 45 day rule because the ato will regard yr first purchase as being the first  parcel sold if you try and trade around ex div date. 

As for ex div tls sp,bottom line it all depends on feb report,imo only if penn presents like he did at CES in the US and maintains div at .22 cents the sp will immediately rocket.ie penn at CES in LA said tls had a good finish to 2018 and that 2019 was looking good or excellent what ever .

When those statements are combined with tls maintaining div at .22 its  a show of confidence by tls board in tls's future then i predict $4 within 3 months probably much sooner from report date .

My reason $4 shows a div of  5.5% plus franking credits plus absolutely all media is starting with positive comments regarding 5g from 5g handsets,iot's,gaming,AI  etc etc etc as per   previous posts.. 

hmm tls got their spectrum,but penns presentation was negative unlike his CES US presentation.

He better not mention tpg or vodafone in feb report or even any competition including optus or nbn  whether merger goes ahead or not.

Penn has clearly stated tls's business model ,i hope he has learnt from verizon ceo's presentations.

I want merger to go ahead for reasons previously listed.
