    Hello Pioupiou .
    Regarding the ‘Specific Scope Requirements’ required by RIO I think the ECI with RIO since May means, as pb said, we are already “inside the tent”.

    In his address at the AGM in November Jules clarified this:
    “In May, Rio Tinto awarded the business an Early Contract Involvement (ECI) contract for the provision of project development services. The award positions the business through the provision of construction services to the client for their sustaining capital program of works.”
    here is the link.
    I guess at tbe end of the day we have to bid just like everyone else does but surely the ECI is a huge advantage?

    You also mention NRW’s history with indigenous groups.
    I agree our positive history here must surely put us in good stead for indigenous joint venture contracts.

    NRW has a strong indigenous component to it’s workforce and worked successfully with Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd on a five year contract from 2009 to 2014 at Western Turner Syncline in the Pilbara
    According to NRW website ;
    NRW led the way in providing sustainable business opportunities for Indigenous organisations with the award of the $200 million Rio Tinto mining contract at Western Turner Syncline in joint venture with Indigenous landowner group Eastern Guruma Pty Ltd.

    But Eastern Guruma(the group they worked with) went into administration in October 2017 after not having such a good run with the now dead BRIERTY

    In the story it says it was hoped the company could be restructured .
    Also here .https://nit.com.au/pilbara-contractor-will-fight-way-mire/

    As a side issue it is another Eastern Guruma group (but not involved with civil construction? ) which took FMG to the Supreme Court last October over the Eliwana rail line running through Spear Valley.
    Relevant links from the other thread :

    And in terms of am indigenous group already working with RIO on Koodaideri, Carey Mining did the original Koodaideri rail line clearing
    http://www.careymining.com.au/wp-co...ri-Rail-Projects-miscellaneous-earthworks.pdf but it seemed to have affiliations with Downer when I looked it up before.

    Does anyone know of any other indigenous joint venture contracts NRW has been involved with ?
    Cheers
