‎Clarence Greens‎ to Stop Cangai Mine

History.
The Clarence Greens were approached by members of the community to put a stop to any possibility of reopening the Historic Cangai Mine and surrounds and we responded by calling out to our Greens members, supporters and the public at large, asking them to attend a meeting we were hosting at the Grafton Library in September 2018.
Our intention was and is, to support the community and we were asking those present if they were happy or not with the proposed cobalt mine should the results from the drilling prove to be favorable for mining to proceed.
We were from the beginning up front that we are The Clarence Greens and that we intend to campaign hard against any dirty mine threatening our environment. We asked that anyone not supporting the Greens to go and talk to their preferred party and let them know that they are not supporting the Cangia Mine. We also let it be known that anyone is welcome to join us and if anyone felt uncomfortable being associated with the Greens that's okay.
The Clarence Greens are proud of our achievements in State and Federal Parlament and we intend to continue fighting for
Ecological sustainability. ...
Grassroots participatory democracy. ...
Social justice. ...and
Peace and non-violence.
This has to be a political fight, it is our politicians that have the power to make or change the laws of the land.
Greens MP's shout out in their parliamentary chambers against environmental abuses. We wish the other party MP's did the same.
