For a long time I had seen StatSports claim they provide Man United with GPS tracking devices, it is one of their main and primary selling points. Recently, given news concerning the controversial sacking of Man United coach Mourinho, it seems Man United actually haven't been using any Statsports/GPS gear since May 2016... It was only for the U23 team....
This doesn't bode well for StatSports in terms of their credibility. Although, the interim coach Ole Gunnar has vouched for StatSports in the past, it will be interesting to see what happens next.
Regardless,it is good for the fitness tracking industry in terms of injury prevention, given Man United did encounter a large number of injuries this season.
