Buyers always bought a "right" and its value was always in the gamble and not in the share.
Never expect to get your money back on a nag.
Wanting to get a cheap share does not get you the share until you front up with the lolly.
As to dilution, that is irrelevant also as you already know they need some extra cash sometime and are going to get it at a discount that existing holders always pay up for.
