Very smart to go against the crowd (I did at much higher prices on AVL)But what is NOT smart is to not recognize where the crowd is.
The crowd are investors still hanging onto hope. The smart ones are the ones exiting the stockmarket
Think about the stockmarket or Australian economy like the Titanic.
When the iceberg was hit, many got in lifeboats. That was the crowd fleeing (or trying to flee). How did it end for the contrarian like Leonardo DiCaprio?
Now holders on junior resource companies can sing "I'm king of the world" all they like but at the end of the day the ship is going down based on evidence to day.
AVL will rise again one day. Maybe after it has been recapitalised and once again the time will be to get on when it is beginning to rise and to exit at the first sign of an iceberg (as many of us did).
