The state of the market is definitely having a depressing effect on share prices.
I think overall that worries about China - the health of their economy - is the cloud that is hanging over the market.
For companies like PEX and the others you mention there is currently anxiety about how they will monetise their assets given the market situation as it exists today .
If JV partners are playing hardball or are on the go-slow at the most advanced projects, then PEX needs to get the info to shareholders, otherwise the blame for missed targets on getting into production at Mallee Bull (and Wirlong) will be placed squarely on PEX management.
