Some may say conspiracy theory macda or, is it an assumed fact - until the "full" evidence finally emerges? An example of the "interim" evidence, of course, is these determined attempts to shake out the weak and naive holders by suppressing, depleting and dropping the share price - on waif like and unmeaningful volume (to some at least).
To my mind, in general terms, it is still premature for any real technical analysis to hold any water. However, based on a fundamental analysis basis and the known facts, I believe it would be foolish for me to start ditching shares at this stage. I may change that thinking if I start seeing some of the "you know who's" jumping ship, but in all honesty, I think they would be well and truly gone already if they thought the business future was in any way negative.
If it turns out some have been "playing the game", then I will be interested to see how many shareholders discuss the possibility of a class action.
I would be lying if I said I didn't have a problem with small retail holders being scammed and it is naive to suggest that a conspiracy is not possible - especially in small markets like the NZX & ASX. I have seen it happen...but the hard part is getting the evidence. Until then, it can only be called an assumption at best ... and defamation can be scary!
