@RickM - should have listened to your 'demo account' advice when I started hahahaha
Been so busy last week or so, decided I will continue EA journey as I find time to run tests here and there, but also settled on two signals I was keen to try out and see how they run, observe them and learn from theme etc. to see if I like the strategies and just in general give me additional things to observe and learn from (also, trying my hardest to not manually trade...), so cash on a signal was better than cash going stale until I have EAs up, what I told myself anyway.
One signal: Up 1.78% in the last week, very few trades, only one open at a time and not every day - so far so good but obviously a long time to go until I have any real data to review (on MT4)
Second signal: oh my god.. MT5, martingale strategy (I already hate it), kill me now. somehow I have not set the VPS up correctly (I assume) and it was not properly syncing positions - it worked for a few nights and ran up a small loss in the open trades, but was at a small profit on close trades, I suspected that's just how it rolls - equity was always below 'balance', and historical charts confirm this too...but last night somehow it didn't sync positions, so all the open positions just bled hard without stops triggered by the signal EA.... blew out like $1.5k, 30% DD... oops
Lucky this are only pilot accounts Thought I had figured out platform and settings by now, apparently not!
