The map below is about GPP's Julia Creek VANADIUM Project at North Queensland. I have made from QLD gov. interactive maps.
It is about the Toolebuc formation which is an oil shale (bearing oil around 65-75 litres per tonne). It contains large oxide vanadium in the upper oxide zone where the oil shale has been leached of the oil. There are many companies working on vanadium projects in the area. Oil is not the primary target of those explorers.
You can see GPP's large tenement EPM 26924 is surrounded by RIO's tenements. The other one EPM 26915 is also very close to IRC (75% farmed out to AFX Resources , a private company owned by Chinese) Manfred and Burwood deposits, and also Multicom Resource's St Elmo Project.
