CEO Vincent Mascolo has stated that the IronRidge lithium licences are closer to port than any others in the entire continent of Africa. It's a bold statement.
I took some time to check this out. After all, transport costs can be expensive. Looking at a medium volume mining operation producing 200,000tpa spodumene concentrate, trucking costs for a 1000km journey can add $7.5m - it's about 5% of revenue at current spodumene prices.
Turns out that VM is spot on and there are some pretty big numbers here. Just need a respectable resource and IronRidge could one day have one of the most economical lithium operations in Africa!
