I'm surprised at the misery that posters on HC spread - IMO if you're going to buy stocks you really do need to be someone with a positive disposition not some kind of manic depressive studying the worst in history and waiting for the end of the world so you can scream 'told you so'.
I get that - I've been listening to people predicting the end of the world as we know it - including Nostradamus - all my life. Apart from some occasional wars someplace else and the odd financial crisis that's generally resolved itself in a reasonably short time mostly, I'd say, life goes on as normal.
This is a fun HC forum - where there seems to have developed 2 camps.
Camp 1 - Chippy and his charts which predict upcoming good news. Camp 2 - pip and his/her charts which predict oncoming armageddon.
Funny thing is - it's like tea-leaves.
The information the charts use is the same - can't alter that.
It's just how an individual wants to interpret them.
The good news though is that, to date, none of the charts and predictions have been correct. Oh! - there's the occasional win which has prompted 'see - I know how to read a chart' - but, realistically none of the chartists are able to accurately predict what will happen in the future - which I find encouraging, as it suggests there can still be an element of common sense left in stock selection.
Having said that, it could be all the long-term doom-and-gloom predictions are accurate and if they are we'll all wake up one day in a brave new world.
I'm pretty sure, though, no matter what happens people will still want to buy quality dairy products - particularly those people in China who would have no idea a world event has taken place even if there was one - and who are about to produce a whole new market for them, quite soon, now China has removed it's single-child policy.
One way or another, it'll be fun.
