Preempt - I have taken the time to speak to Peter Reeve as I'm sure you have. If you ask the right questions, you'll get the right answers.

AEE cannot export or sell the Haggan ore if it contains U. The reason I know this is because Peter and I discussed the possibility of just exporting the bulk ore (defined at V containing bulk ore) across the border and refining it there where there aren't any U restrictions. In that scenario, you could strip out the hugely valuable U and the other metals/minerals.

But alas, it cannot be done. The only option available to AEE is to remove the U from the other saleable products and store it in Sweden as waste (storing U as waste is legal). The costs are very high to do this from a CAPEX perspective (facility to remove the U) and from an OPEX perspective (to safely store the waste).

These new tougher laws were introduced this year so there's Buckley's chance of having them overturned any time soon, hence Peter's comment that he'll seek compensation for the economic loss as a result of the changes.
