You can quite easily see what the market thinks of directors investing in their companies. One of the companies in your comparison is doing very well at the moment and the other has almost no interest at all.
You've misrepresented Grant Pierce's remuneration also. He is on over $630K (see below) and still can't to seem to buy a share in KNL. IMO this indicates the situation in Tanzania is not as positive as the other company who's in country guy just invested $300K.
