Do you think CK investments would spend $13 billion and then pull the pipes up and ship them out? The national interest includes efficient operation and that requires scale. Honestly, everytime there is a sniff of Chinese money (think dairy, electricity, communications), people freak out.
Would this have caused such a ruckus if it was US money? Or Canadian money? Or British money?
