They are talking copper concentrate not produced copper.
I looked at the closest copper concentrators which are Tritton at Nyngan and North Parkes obviously near Parkes and they are getting at Tritton 95% recovery @ 24% copper contained concentrate and North Parkes who are pushing record tonnes at the moment 87.8% recovery at 23% copper contained concentrate.
The recoveries from full sized concentrators are better than lab results due to the floatation circuits containing usually a full rougher sometimes A and B circuit, 1st and second cleaners plus a double scavenger circuit and the grind size thru a SAG and Ball mill circuit giving a finer grind to aid liberation in the floatation circuit utilising constantly adjusted PAX, Polysil and Iron suppressant via In Stream Analysers.
So at say a copper concentrate of 20% , 200KT of concentrate would have 40Kt of contained copper.
Mining costs would be minimal as the photos of stockpiles show the ore to be coarsely crushed already, meaning loaders mainly filling trucks with no blasting involved. They do mention partial benefication which may mean another crushing on site via a mobile crusher and some mild screening.
Be interesting to see who the third party processors are they are talking to, whether it be in Aust or OS in Asia.
If they realised US1000 for each tonne of contained copper after all transport and processing costs that would give approx 50 TO 55M Aud to progress any other work at Cangai.
