IMO, Mr Macgowan would be fairly naive to stand in front of Parliament to state that:
"... Carnegie has confirmed it has the capacity and commitment todeliver the Albany Wave Energy Technology Development Project."
given that the meeting which likely resulted in that message was held some time previous and likely also produced auditable records from CCE to the effect that they have the capacity to fund the project if it was not true.
This would be especially so since Mr Redman also gave notice during the same session of his intention to table a motion
"That this house refers to the Public Accounts Committee an inquiry into the McGowan government’s handlingof the Albany Wave Energy Project, to determine whether decisions and processes engaged by the Ministerfor Regional Development have been in keeping with the strategic asset management framework."
As for EMC/TAG/MPower, I for one would be interested to know whether TAG or MPower has or had anything to do with the SummerHill Solar Farm in Newcastle and if so, what?
Certainly a long way for this drama to play out, but at least the first deadline is next week when any potential deal with EMC/TAG should be finalised or canned.
