Following on from my previous post, I found somewhere that Rio mined 500.000 carats from 2.000.000 ton of ore. So 0.25 carat/ton. (In 5 years)
At say 100 ton/hr that would be 25 carats/hr or 600 carat per day on 24 hrs running.
Anybody got an rough idea about the average price per carat? That would be the daily incoming funds.
At 50% running time that would be (600*365)/2=110.000 carats/year.
This just to keep an eye on diamond Joe. Are there not rules as to what they are required to tell us quarterly as as minimum?
