KATE-1 drill spudding is expected to be 15 MAY.

Christchurch press need to know there is a potential Great South Basin sized oil prospect on our backdoor step.
KATE-1 will sink a drill bit into an enormous bulging surface anticline(15sqkm) with high quality oil seeping from around its perimeter.

Potentially holding up to 200million barrels of oil and is costing only approx 1.2 million to drill.
Potentially GGX SP could sky rocket to several dollars if this structure is filled to spill point.
GGX has only around 100million shares and a market cap of 7million.

If so it would be NZ's biggest oil find and any oil produced would be easily tankered the 50km to Port Lyttleton and shipped to international markets.

TAG considered this prospect to be a once in a lifetime opportunity.
