First day actually live today with ANZ- your right it is clunky- the data was still patchy- I called them and asked about when they are getting chix - he said I was only the third person that had asked and he would escalate his team leader to put it on my account ?

Now - your paragraph about that has left me a bit confused as to which does/has what -

I don't like the idea that there will be anomalies with the volume - and gappy charts -
Still don't understand the situation exactly -

Index minis ? do you mean spec stocks by that ?

I signed up for commsec was done quite quickly and easily since I have one card already with them-
I then called them- I was not sure if they had different platforms - seems just iress/viewpoint as they call it-
As for brokerage - if you set up a certain account type with them that links to the trading account - you get trades for 19 dollars rather than 29 - so he talked me through that - I opened that type of account - prob other brokers might be cheaper - - but have also wondered how good their support is - uggh what a headache -

Another person I know told me FP markets apparently runs on iress also - I was thinking of going with them - but if it is all the same platform -

Another one that was also suggested by another trader I know is IB markets - they have a free demo at least - I will get to that -
So a bit of work ahead this week again- about to roll up the sleeves and have a look at iress- for the first time - ever -

It is not easy - I used to find the etrade charts so easy to see and watch live -even though they were small -
plus the volume scanner all on the same screen-
I still think that I need another week to get used to the new charts and fiddle with the sizes etc to see -
