In the presentation Mr Loxton outlined that it was important to note that the battery is not being trialed in Western Australia, it is being demonstrated. The battery technology has been trialed and proven in South Korea and has run for 3,000 cycles or the equivalent of 9 years and in multiple sites with electricity grid and solar.
Strategy is for more demonstration sites in Australia with major utility providers.
