well I just went on a trip and used wotif in 6 different locations.
I realised that the supposed discounts were from rack rates, and probably if I made dozens of phone calls I could have got better prices at some locations, but perhaps not.
I got what I considered to be pretty good prices anyway and it is easy to compare the different alternatives with their system.
All in all I would say quite a satisfied customer.
