A bit of conspiracy and I would love it to be true:
CATL builds the factory in Erfurt, BMW signs a supply deal with CATL and takes a stake in CATL.
Quandt/Klatten family owns 30% of BMW and BMW has a 18% stake in SGL carbon and Klatten has another 28% stake in SGL carbon. KNL does have an offtake with our famous EGT.

These are facts so far, now the conspiracy:
The EGT is SGL Carbon, all these involved parties need graphite for battery cell production, since KNL is well connected and somehow government supported, KNL is going to supply the new CATL factory and Kamenz, where Daimler builds their battery packs is only 200 km from Erfurt

At the moment I do not believe that the EGT is SGL carbon, but there is also no reason to doubt it..

BUT I think KNL is the " chosen one" of the German government to supply Graphite to the rapidly growing battery space. KFW is state owned and operates in the interest of the German industry, these guys support KNL for more than 3 years now. It is almost certain that we get the funding by KFW and this will make us the number one for Graphite supply here in Germany. We already have the offtakes, but the KFW funding will assure us further offtakes, because KFW will open many doors for us and of course we have the right graphite which is proven by our 100% sold initial production!se
