If ANZ were shuffling the ownership between divisions, they might have used some of the early trades to bring the price down to 7c before doing the 17M trade, to crystalise a tax writedown and start the new investment at a guaranteed future profit? ... or otherwise ... many strategies and possible agendas when it comes to inter-company group trades.
