You have a good point. If any Chinese investors want to buy SDL, why should they buy it through ANS? It does not make sense.
Presently, ANS has no financial capacity to acquire SDL. The SDL noteholders of 100 million dollars are the forthcoming controlling shareholders of SDL (around 68 per cent). Those note-holders are large financial institutions.
Analogy: You can not compare "Ant" with "Elephant".
It is an unrealistic dream to suggest that ANS will acquire SDL.
Please look at the balance sheet of ANS and you will realize it whether some posters are dreaming or not.
The trading halt is less likely to be related to SDL. ANS has money around $3 million to be used for any potential business acquisition. It would be small business acquisition. I do not think that it is a huge acquisition. However, future is uncertain and I may be wrong. Of course, I do hope that any announcement tomorrow may advantage both ANS and SDL. Let us see what would be announced by ANS tomorrow.
