Good morning Simon
It’s a beautiful day in WA -all deeply green and blue and lit with morning sunshine and bird song.
Re Queensland; I almost choked when I heard the locals call Cairns ‘FNQ’ ...and someone else confused me recently with “Brisvegas”
(Not in the sense that a person might be a place)
And now you intimate I am a parochial West Australian ..... so soon after we meet ? ( because a place can’t be parochial -only the residents )
*sigh *
I’m willing to try it on for fit Simon (you are a clearly a shrewd and successful analyst) (congratulations on your phenomenal Wilsons!!) although it’s not number one choice for the inside collar of my jacket ..
But I agree Queensland is unique and Milton, with that reputation for needing to be addressed correctly, an outstanding example of why.
Luckily our Milton-headquartered Golding bears appropriate labeling:
Level 1,
147 Coronation Drive,
Milton QLD 4064
....and you are right Management here has made a point of celebrating and maintaining Golding’s outstanding ‘uniquosity.’
That powerful arm has an honourable Queensand pedigree with the late Cyril Golding, the beloved founder , known as ‘Mr Gladstone ‘.https://www.gladstoneobserver.com.a...all-fame-queensland-business-golding/1490827/
(So yes it’s clearly better for NRW, even though aligned to similar values, to keep its Nouveau NRWness at a discreet distance )
Thank you for telling me about VRS .. I’m intensely interested in peers/competitors and was reading a bit about another company new to me MYE - Mastermyne - the other evening. It has fallen to $125 million market after a good report including revenue increase of 62% to $201.7 million .
The (current) main attraction there was discovering Mastermyne is doing a Bankable Feasability Study for Stanmore Coal’s underground mining at Isaac Plains and wondering how/if this relates to NRW .
Possibly the timelines at least will be shared?
MYE says the BFS will be completed late September with final investment decision early next year https://hotcopper.com.au/documentdownload?id=uOMxKKzFkiWRTLKhOROKAxjvSDYL4we7wBn+v/pg+rFiGug=.
(Of original interest was that 10% plus US shareholder, Kenneth (Rudy) Kamon also owns 6.4% of Maca and was a major holder of WDS another infrastructure company that has sadly been liquidated.)
Shares aside, once again it is very nice to meet you although I think you may be wrong about the residents of WA being parochial.
I may be but I really have to step to the defence of Jules and Andrew who you clearly have not seen wearing their business suits.
The cut is empowered intelligence, tempered keenness, grasp of the market, and delight in their company’s own particular style of focused machismo.
I don’t have very many WAM shares and they are less than a year old due to me being devoutly and myopically parochial after all.
But it’s still a beautiful day
Cheers
