I am not saying WAF does not have a quality asset. I think it does and Sanbrado is likely to be developed into a profitable mine one day, perhaps by WAF in the next 2 years.

It is just that its no point in being a believer in anything where you and I have no control over matters (except to buy/sell shares) especially the POG and financiers' actions.

Well it looks like we may now be getting a bit of a bounce in the gold price, but as I have mentioned elsewhere my belief is that the gold price will be lower later this year if the US Fed does its two rate hikes and continues with its QT and Trump's trade policies slow down the economic growth rate of Chindia etc. This view is of course yet to be proven right or wrong.

I have no objection to WAF (or any other goldie) doing well since I hold over 200k shares and am willing to add if the circumstances are appropriate. However, I am mindful of the need to conserve capital, which is what has enabled me to survive and profit in a very speculative sector. At present I am very well cashed up and will look to buy goldies for a trade towards the end of the year.

I think it is interesting that one thoughtful goldie speculator/investor has been missing from our threads in recent times. I am referring to JID who manages funds far in excess of the vast majority of Hotcopperits. I dunno, but perhaps he sees something not quite to his liking in the goldie space.
