I'm not sure paying $1.3 billion for the UK to give it away plus 95% of AU was a favour to ordinary shareholders. It did benefit AG & gang infinitely more then ordinary shareholders. Whether or not SGH survived or not the CA actions would have proceeded and compensation paid. The only benifit I know with AC taking over was they kicked in $4 million extra to MB members only. I'm also not sure AC will lose money on the UK they got for a pittance. I'd bet AC will make money on both the UK and AU but make no mistake that doesn't mean the 5% of outsiders are included in their exit plans.
What we do know is KPMG analysed and the company announced that the most SGH is worth post recap is $1.10 per share. The company has announced Friday after market close that inside owners have sold their entire holdings to other inside owners for $1.10 per share. Do you or anyone really think SGH inside owners would sell out for around a third of what their holding is worth?
