That para sounds to me like a lot of jargon, boiling down to:
We are going to be more conservative and selective in the future, both in current and new product development.
If that is the case, and they continue to support their collaborative efforts with IMM, it sounds to me that they have reasonable faith in the eventual outcome and potential for commercial approval.
