I think that they are hoping that the casing integrity allows them to gain production by just perforating the untested gas zones with out drilling .
This would be a relatively low cost procedure and affordable for the JV .
If they drill a side track XST may need to raise capital .

PCL receives 7 million on spud of their African well , which will be before Alvares work gets going .
They are free carried in that well so will have the money but their priorities are very much with what is happening in Africa now .

REL is a mystery .
Will it come up with the money or will XST pocket the $70,000 non refundable deposits for its troubles ?

There have been sales today at 6 cents , I hope that means some one knows some thing .

Surely they can get some money out of somebody over the share purchase fiasco .
