I think it’s unlikely TJ would be giving up, they are getting paid to perform a process as instructed by AP. Since AP own the process as the patent holder, the fact that the chip doesn’t meet expectations doesn’t fall back to TJ as responsibility, it is always with AP.
I think TJ just keep trying on a do-and-charge basis, and they won’t give up until AP do. At this stage from their quarterly, things appear like BAU. Nothing new or any different, and certainly nothing imminent. If AP get the chip to work using their ad-hoc process this could come at any time, though I think AP are now in a desperate state of just brute force fabrication and testing to improve yield and performance, rather than a disciplined engineering process.
Recent radio silence and thinning trading would seem to indicate we will be here for a while. This may be a good time to accumulate.
