The ASX needs to ban bots outside the ASX300. They are a problem across all small caps and the algo's are wide open to market manipulation. Even the ASX has banned some bots, but it serves zero purpose in the small end. You can push a stock around 10% on $50 and nobody is legally allowed to do that because the compliance departments in brokers wont let you. The funds have managed to convince the ASX that they don't do that, even though there is a strong possibility that they do. You dont get bots banned for nothing. Once again, the regulators have something to explain. One of Sydney's biggest brokers suggested it was skimming and border line theft of peoples savings. I think he is right. I dont want the stock up 10% on 1400 shares and neither should it be down as it does not represent a true market.
