I set myself a max percentage loss for the week and normally do fine. But if I have a bad week and hit that figure say on Wednesday, I cease trading for the week. I then Spend the rest of the week analysing the market conditions. It normally means of course that I am trading in the wrong market type like a ranging market condition with the wrong strategy. I do have the MEME strategy which runs will in any market type but my multi entry single exit building basket strategy will fail. Sometimes we don’t know the market type till we are up to our necks in mud.
