"Tonight was great between 6pm to 8.30pm then the market died."

I saw around 8.30pm that almost all the pairs were below 0.35% movement. So maybe if you see that and there's no news due, then it's time to close the trades. Set a time to check the overall market, and set a threshold of say 0.35%. It was probably dead because of US holiday.
