I maintain this is not true. It seems this journalist has tried to write the story accurately and tried to do genuine due diligence which led him or her to an outdated ownership arrangement :

As well as company’s own links, (once again) To my reading this indicates Brimstone was purchased back from Liongold in 2015 by an Empire JV called Barola . (after Empire raised capital to enter. The JV with private company ,Mandara Resources .)
