For me the best thing would be to wind up the fund now while the market is up a bit and give investors back the cash at close to underlying asset value so that when the inevitable downturn happens we will have funds to invest in something else. I know the reputation of the ALF performance/expectation in falling markets but we've been patient for a long time with little reward.
