Elon is not wrong imo, but like many things his timeframes are just not right. There are a number of companies / Tesla included that have manufacturing infrastructure depended on Cobalt , to change that at this point in the EV market will mean further infrastructure changes which IMO won't come very soon. So far batteries without cobalt are largely in the research and development phase. Cobalt demand over the next few years / maybe a decade might just keep increasing in demand. AIMO.
