We need to see the results of the lab tests that were conducted and some inplant trials. I can't see it being any better than standard magnetite but it doesnt need to be better, it is its proximity to the Bowen Basin that will make it a winner. At the end of the day they need to be able to grind the stuff (economically) to the correct grade and provide adequate magnetic susceptability so that consumption is not too high in the coal washing process. Price will be dictated by the above. Assuming that it can take the place of traditional magnetite with manageable in-plant losses then i'd be hoping to see a price of at least a few hundred dollars a tonne delivered. But who knows what the washeries will pay for a reliable supplier at close proximity. Remember they cannot do without it. Some more news from MOO on this product stream would be timely given the love of anything to do with Fe stocks at present.
