Scooters, MY opinion of DES, seeing as you asked is that it is now offering ground floor entry to a company pioneering the new media. I particularly like the concept of niche online communities, and can see how target marketing with advertising, and sale of content would be so effective. I dont expect too much ..Yet, from their growing number of Websites but was impressed with the fact that the have an audience of 300,000 (based on UB) and growing strongly.
Music downloads, well, they need to put a dent in piracy for that to fly, and Movie downloads need cost effective broadband speed. I will look to the half yearly for guidence on the hard copy debate about DVD.s (Magna) although I'm expecting to hold its own.

I am, a big fan of online advertising and it is BNM that I expect to be the standout performer for DES, it should be powering.

Overall DES seems aggressive in its pursuit of content and communities, it has good connections and some powerful shareholders. I've adobted a hold to acculmulate sentiment atm. I've only been buying over the last 12 months but have watched since about 2001. Strangly enough I think DES an entertaining stock to have, in an exciting and possible scary sector of the market.

I'm sure you'd agree its pretty hard to get a handle on DES and takes a lot of time to check out everything their into.( I thought the $30,000 spent on the Wise Owl report poor value and could have gone a lot deeper).

As for insto's, I think buying the quantites they would like,at market, might be a bit of a challenge so they may pop up some time in a placement or such.
