The fact that a fund like SGH has bought in that sort of quantity is very meaningful imo.

Is it just a coincidence that it bought its first (and the vast bulk) lot of shares on the day of the massive sulphide news? I don't think so! It has to be the case that the m s news triggered the buying. What's curious though is that SGH would not have jumped in without having done its due diligence (see my earlier post). It would have been ready, just waiting for a triggering event.

So, the question has to be: why did SGH like AUR as a possible buy before the surprising SFR m s news?

Another question: why did it then buy a smallish number so as to make it disclose its holding, now 'substantial'?

I wonder if it also holds shares in SFR. I don't know, but I would expect so.

I suspect that the AUR-SFR link is the reason for the acquisition. In that regard, I am confident in saying that the relationship will also get stronger.

My view is that if a fussy investor like SG Hiscock buys in, and big, and SFR is seemingly mad keen on exploring this new farm-in area then the price of AUR's shares is set for upward movement. I believe too that it has nothing to do with getting AUROB over the line.
