You can buy shares on the market right now for less than the announced SPP price. This was entirely a predictable outcome.
It would have been smart to close the placement and the SPP at the same time. TNT is run by smart people. There must have been a reason for the urgency.
Protip: If you want to place shares at over market, you'll need a sweetener. Attached options are traditional.
