I have been watching this forum for some time.. it appears some of these posts, should be under QFX and not DES...
Yes DES does own a stake in QFX, however, if QFX went under, what is the implications to DES, I would say not much. QFX does not add anything to DES earnings, so its not a worry for Earnings.
Yes DES did pay a sum for the QFX stake, however not enough to send DES under and since that stake, DES has not focused its energy on QFX, but rather Magna, BYI etc.
Moving forward, DES is about owning content, and distributing it through own channels and others, content is king...
Who has foxtel? Who sees the same episodes over and over and over again, these mediums need content.. This is where the true value is with DES. Not in doing downloads.
They will supply content to Telstra, IINET, MySpace and many other people looking for content...
Content is king and while DES is owning content, I am a happy subscriber..
Look out for Magna's new movie with Robbin Williams coming out soon.... Should be a winner...
DES will hit do over $5.5 - 6 M first half, and Brand New Media and the New Movies will allow them to hit earnings second half. Another point, DES is focusing on cost cutting across the board, selling property etc and integrating distribution centres.. Now this is not factored into the earnings..
I hold.. ;-)
