We know that reality is that PLN are installing diesel generators for GMC  to use for operating their 50 year old furnaces.  The cost of running them  has just gone up from US$0.29c/KWh (thats an all up price, the price of diesel fuel alone is US$0.20/KWh at US$70/barrel)  Now at US$80/barrel the cost of diesel alone is US$0.22/KWh  making a total of US$0.31/KWh  Thats more expensive than Aussie power using solar panels and wind generators.
