If my understanding of this situation is correct then clearly Harbour's "Substantial Holder" announcement from Tuesday cannot be correct. Hony and ENN are not free to enter into such an alliance while the earlier strategic agreement is still in place.
Oh good, we are now on the same wave length and on common ground.
Now, with trepidation of having strips thorn off me again, may I add:
Putting aside take over regulations etc, what do you think of the ethics of the Director/S
who have gone off and appeared to have done a deal when they are part of a board of directors who have told us that no action should be taken until a formal offer had been received and considered by the board? Do you think that at the very least they would have informed the market and stood down?
Yesterday, STO put out an announcement responding to media speculation of side deals. Do you think that it may have been wiser if they had addressed the substantial holder announcement instead?
And please note todays announcement. "The independent directors will..." what do you think that means as far your assumption?
