Be interesting to know how this company was selected for the trial and whether the connection to the mining industry has significance, or it's operational size in terms of what supplementary power supply alternatives vanadium batteries can offer. (Sounds like a very common mid sized business which Oz has thousands so that in itself should create some interest around the trial)
And curious also if the grant money is to be entirely spent on this one 4 month trial. That would give us some rough figures on assembly and running costs when integrated with renewables.
Certainly heading in the right direction and testing a technology where precise response output can be tracked easily enough when compared to competitor solutions.
